Witness Preparation

Witness Preparation

Nothing can be more embarrassing to an attorney or damaging to the client’s case than to have a witness (or client) on the stand appearing to have a lack of knowledge or understanding about a question that is asked, or perhaps not appearing to be truthful. Clearly, the simple answer is that the witness was unprepared-or worse-the attorney was unprepared. We will meet with your witness, we will discuss the methods by which questions get answered on Cross and direct examination, teach appropriate dress for the courtroom, review and suggest changes in body language and eye contact. While these seem simple enough, many attorneys fail to take the time to adequately address these issues and are faced with last-minute preparation for witness testimony We will provide you with the courtroom atmosphere that you need, experienced attorneys providing cross-examination for your client or witness, use of exhibits for the witness to become familiar, so that the witness is completely comfortable in the courtroom during the actual trial. No surprises is our goal. Our staff will provide the type of cross examination that the witness will anticipate in a courtroom and the type of direct examination that you and your witness needs to minimize objections and to maximize the information needed to be provided by the witness. We can’t change the facts of the case, but we can present them most favorably.
